MASSO team visit to the US and Canada
Over the last 24 years, MASSO has built a highly successful global business primarily based in Australia. We have developed an incredible customer base through great products, effective communication, and outstanding customer service in far-flung corners of the world. However, being so busy building the business meant that no one from MASSO had ever visited our major customers—until now.
This September, Mike Walker, General Manager, and Ivan Leita, Business Development Manager, travelled to the US and Canada for two weeks. Their visit included a large number of existing customers throughout North America. It was fantastic for MASSO and our customers to finally meet face-to-face and continue to strengthen those relationships. We would like to thank all the customers we met for their generosity with their time and openness as we explored ideas for growth.
We also had the pleasure of meeting several businesses interested in MASSO controllers and accessories, during which we discussed how a partnership could benefit both parties.
While in Chicago, we attended the International Manufacturing Technology Show. This event provided a great opportunity to see how CNC technology is evolving and to better understand customer requirements. After walking 33,000 steps and covering 27 kilometres in a single day, we were thrilled to find a MASSO controller in the last hall!
We returned home with a lot of homework to complete, but the trip certainly highlighted numerous opportunities for MASSO to grow and to enhance our support for customers, tailoring our offerings to individual companies.
As many of you know, travelling for work can be rewarding but also challenging, especially with punishing schedules—like a 3 AM start with four flights in a single day. It’s important to take the time to appreciate the new places you visit and the people you meet. On this trip, we had the opportunity to travel from Buffalo on a Friday to Toronto on a Monday, allowing us to visit Niagara Falls over the weekend. No trip to the falls would be complete without a boat trip to the foot of the falls—getting soaked was a highlight!
And we are already planning our next trip in November! If you would like to catch up with us please contact Ivan Leita at ivan.leita@masso.com.au or Mike Walker on mike.walker@masso.com.au
